I am receiving some money in February and I am interested in hiring two people to help me with two of my stories. I am looking to spend between $300.00 and $400.00 for each story, I am going to pay in dollars so please be aware of this if you are outside of The United States.
I am looking for an anime feel to these commissions and I am looking for a variety of different types ( half body, full body and so on).
The first story is based on a medieval/future type genre. The main characters that will be featured is a Brown haired boy named Gato. There will be character designs for you to go from.
The second story is based on Psychological/spiritual genre The main characters that will be featured are (My original character is a brown haired boy. Well i'll explain the story once i find the right artist style for this project.
I am asking for people now so we can set up a game plan and maybe do some preliminary sketches so both of us will get an idea of what to do when February comes.
If you are interested, please respond here with samples and prices.
To the Inkblazers Community,
It is with a sad heart that we have to announce starting February 1st we will be taking down Inkblazers.com permanently. We have been trying to find a path for Inkblazers and unfortunately we have reached a point where we can no longer financially support the continuation of the site which cost us upwards of $65,000USD a month. Every single dollar earned from the subscribers went directly back to the artists and authors.
The last four years have been the most amazing journey for our entire team and very humbling to engage with this passionate and amazing community. We understand the far reaching impact this has on the numerous authors that have put their faith in us and made a living on our site over the years. We are very sorry it has come to this and we have no words for the disappointment and anger you must be experiencing.
To help ease all of the authors that have placed your faith in us and the Preview Program, any author that received a Preview Program Payment in either November or December will receive an additional three month payment in the coming weeks to help you make your transition. So if you earned $10 in either November or December, you will receive a $30 payment to help ease your transition. We wanted to make sure everybody is supported to the best of our abilities during this difficult time.
After February 1st all user and author data as well as images will be deleted permanently. To be clear, every single file, data, everything will be deleted. We will not be archiving or keeping any information or files after February 1st. All subscriptions will be refunded over the next week as well. Any orders previously placed on Inkblazers will be shipped.
Our sincerest apologies,
Well, I am not surprised one bit by this announcement. First of all they never should have made the name change from Mangamagazine to Inkblazers. That was a horrible idea. Don't get me wrong i totally respect the guys who made this website. They started out with a bang. That's an accomplishment right there.
But over time i began to notice some things that were hurting progression. I sent the Managamagazine team a very long and thought out note of areas i felt could help boost their website funds. Let me place this in all caps so you can get my point. I don't think you heard me. I SAID I SENT THEM A NOTE A FEW YEARS BACK THAT COULD HAVE HELPED THEM BOOST THEIR FUNDS!
Ok now that is out of the way. I also mentioned several other things that would have made the website more popular in other countries etc..
I even brought up some ideas for contest and several other things.
They thought i wanted a job with them. But i was merely pointing out things that would favor the website to help make it a continued success, on top of what they were already doing.
Of course my advice was ignored. And that's ok as we can see the result of this post. Ignoring a person who knows what they are talking about is not always the wisest decision. It really helps knowing the Manga and Anime Business from the inside. And i was fortunate enough to gain this knowledge early on. It was gained through various bumps and bruises.
At any rate Webmanga has a very long way to go. There are certain areas that need to be addressed. And i will no longer be giving my input to companies i like for free. It's not fair to me.
I will be posting a journal soon of various artist and others who didn't heed my words. They are not in the best of shape them self either.
I want to clear my plate before this year ends. Once all of you see who theses artist are and how they really haven't done anything major. Then you all will wonder why they didn't take my advice. And a few of them were pro's. But hey it is what it is.
Take care people.
